St. Norbert College is thrilled to announce the successful completion of the “Support What Matters” fundraising campaign, surpassing the ambitious $125 million goal. Launched publicly on May 19, 2022, this campaign aimed to significantly grow the college’s endowment in celebration of its 125th anniversary. The campaign concluded on May 31, 2024 and has raised more than $128 million.

“We are deeply grateful to our generous donors, whose unwavering support has made this achievement possible,” said Dr. Laurie M. Joyner, President of St. Norbert College. “This milestone not only strengthens our endowment but also reinforces our commitment to providing accessible and affordable education. The impact of this campaign will be felt for generations, ensuring that St. Norbert College continues to serve its mission and thrive for the next 125 years.”

The “Support What Matters” campaign began with a silent phase in June 2016, and garnered substantial contributions from alumni, parents, friends, faculty and staff. With the generosity of 17,000 unique donors, this historic campaign:

• created 139 new endowments

• nearly doubled the institution’s endowment to $188 million

• funded the development of the Donald & Patricia Schneider Family Hall

• took in $50 million in endowed gifts

• created $17 million for the St. Norbert Fund unrestricted scholarship fund

• raised $28 million from alumni.

Key priorities of the campaign included scholarships and financial aid, strategic innovation, mission (Catholic, Norbertine, liberal arts), and contemporary student experiences. The funds raised will significantly impact the college’s ability to provide scholarships, keeping education within reach for students from all backgrounds and helping to maintain St. Norbert’s tradition of excellence.

The campaign’s completion ensures that St. Norbert College remains distinctive and relevant in Catholic higher education, shaping graduates who lead meaningful lives, build impactful careers, and contribute to the common good. The college’s supporters have affirmed the value of the transformative education St. Norbert provides, which in turn, shapes graduates who make significant contributions to society.
