International scholarships and grants

We want to help you achieve your goal of attending SNC. Our office of financial aid is ready to support you during the financial aid process. St. Norbert College awards generous international student merit scholarships and grants; however, there are no full scholarships.

All applicants are automatically considered for merit-based scholarships. Scholarships
are based on cumulative grade point average (GPA) from high school/secondary school.

Scholarship GPA Amount per year
George Washington Scholar 3.5 to 4.0 $27,000
Abraham Lincoln Scholar 3.0 to 3.49 $23,000
Woodrow Wilson Scholar 2.75 to 2.99 $19,000
Benjamin Franklin Scholar 2.5 to 2.74 $17,000

All scholarships are renewable for up to four years provided students remain in good
academic standing.

In order to be eligible for a need-based international grant, students must complete the SNC International Grant application and provide supporting financial documentation.

International students have the option of working on campus up to 20 hours per week during the academic year, and up to 40 hours per week during official university breaks.

Students are billed by semester for tuition and fees, as well as housing for students living on campus and any assigned meal plan. Expenses such as transportation, personal expenses, books, course materials, supplies and equipment are costs that students incur but are not billed to them by SNC.

To plan accordingly, review the complete breakdown of costs for each academic year listed on the Student Account Services website. Many families take advantage of college payment plans. SNC offers payment plans that allow you to make partial payments over a period of time, rather than making one large payment. Learn about SNC payment plans.

New and continuing international students

  • All offers of funding are based on full-time status (12 U.S. credits or more) with a maximum of eight semesters of eligibility.
  • St. Norbert College scholarship/grant funds are often funded by a St. Norbert College endowed or annual scholarship. At a later date you may receive notification of the name of the specific scholarship that is funding this award and the name of the donor who helped make this possible.
  • All funding offers will be canceled if false information was provided on your funding application materials.
  • The St. Norbert College scholarship is renewable if you maintain satisfactory academic standards.

Continuing international students

  • Maintain your merit scholarship. If you received merit-based scholarships in your offer, the renewal criteria are outlined in the original admission and scholarship award letter; be sure to confirm all the details. You could lose your merit scholarship if you fail to maintain the requirements stipulated by your scholarship award.
  • It is not necessary to re-apply for your funding award.
